Larna is a Remedial Massage therapist, soon to be Myotherapist, graduating from Melbourne’s Institute of Massage Therapy. Larna is currently working extensively with Richmond Tigers FC, Melbourne Rebels Rugby, Melbourne Vixens Netball and is undergoing a placement at the Victorian Institute of Sport.
Prior to studying massage, Larna studied primary school teaching and travelled the world extensively setting foot in every continent. She has studied French and Spanish and volunteered in places like Peru and Cambodia.
Larna has been fortunate enough to grow up and be living in the beautiful Yarra Valley on her hobby farm with her vast variety of animals. When Larna isn’t working, studying or travelling, she rides and competes her two horses and enjoys time in the garden.
Larna has come from a big sporting background, being a part of national squads and representing Victoria in Netball, Volleyball, Equestrian and Diving. She has tried her hand with a variety of other sports including Waterpolo and basketball before retiring to injury with two knee reconstructions. She now endeavours to complete a half ironman before the completion of 2016.
Larna works with the needs of the her clients in a holistic fashion to ensure the cause of the problem and not just the symptom are being treated. A variety of techniques may be used such as, Dry Needling, Myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, Vacuum Cupping, TENS machine and prescribing corrective exercises are all part of a remedial/myotherapy treatment with Larna.
